A Feng Shui remedy for getting rid of creepy co-workers

For some people, Feng Shui, the ancient Chinese art and science of the flow of energy through your building makes total sense, for others, it's total nonsense.

I happen to be in the "total sense" category, and so I love it when I run across sound advice put forth in an easy to digest manner.

I found Kate Austin's newsletter called Invisible Feng Shui on Karen Kingston's Space Clearing site. (Karen Kingston, you may remember, is the author of Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui, my #1 favorite organizing book).

I devour every word of Kate's newsletter as soon as it arrives, it's so cool, easy-to-understand and it demystifies Feng Shui in a way that shows me just what to do to implement the remedies I need to make my space work optimally for me.

Here's a fun example of a story Kate told in the most recent issue, which highlights the Fame and Reputation sector of your room:

One of my favorite Feng Shui stories has to do with the Fame and Reputation gua [translation: the section of the room that relates to a certain energy, in this case, Fame & Reputation]. I was new to this Feng Shui business and was working at a social service agency. There was a person working there who was truly awful. Even the boss was afraid of her.

I got tired of her treatment and did some research on what Feng Shui said to do. Oddly enough, the advice was simple: "Purchase a little cactus and place it in the Fame & Reputation area. So, I went to Safeway and for $1.99 bought the most prickly cactus I could find. I only had a cubicle at that job but I placed the cactus in the Fame & Reputation area.

This is the absolute truth - the next day she quit speaking to me and left me totally alone. I was thrilled.

The boss noticed and asked me what had happened. I told her and she made a Safeway run within the hour!

Here's what Kate says about finding where your Fame & Reputation area is:

Be sure room is clean and clear of clutter;
Stand in the doorway and face into the room;
Locate the back wall of the room;
Divide the back wall into thirds; locate the “center” third
